Built in 1874, this corner site served neighborhood workers for a century before falling quiet. We restored the original mahogany counters, open brick hearth, and leaded glass panes over two years.
Today the open-fire hearth burns daily oak logs for seasonal roast meats and vegetables, while our downstairs morning bakery produces daily sourdough loaves.
Our beef, lamb, and seasonal greens travel six miles from two family farms down the valley. Whole-carcass butchery keeps every cut purposeful across our daily seasonal chalkboards.
Four cask lines feature rotating draught ales from local microbreweries within twenty miles. Our short wine list focuses on low-intervention natural bottles from small British and European growers.
Walk-in counter seats are available all day, or reserve ahead for three-course evening dining in our main room.
